On Drawing
In the summer of 2025, a series of personal losses shifted the way I approach art making and led me back to the inclusion of drawing into my overall art practice. While working on other paintings, I draw daily, completing several pieces in a single sitting. I draw the observed, the imagined, while blending the past and present. The process allows action to take precedence over outcome. Using pencil and acrylic on paper, the drawings are loose, immediate, expressive, and intimate. Through this work, I find both understanding and a subtle kind of healing.
